Spreewald

Water expeditions and cycling in the spreewald

You will visit a water landscape, which is one of the most beautiful and unique regions of Europe. More than 500 kilometres of navigable water roads, expedition- and cycle-tracks will assure you of adventures and recreation. The Kahn, which used to be the only means of transport in the past, invites you for a tour through the water landscape in summer and winter. With a qualified guide you will learn about everything there is to know on the tradition of the Sorbs in the Spreewald. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to discover Cottbus and visit the Castle of Branitz and the park.

Boat trips
After the arrival at the big Spreewald harbour Lübbenau, the same harbour from which Theodor Fontane used to take off in the Spreewald, the guests assemble at the unique Spreewald Gherkin Mile. As the title already tells, you will go to Lehde aboard a boat guided by a ferryman. Enjoy the delicious refreshments in an inn while the host will serve a solid meal. Then it is time to take the train until you can board the “Spreewaldmolly”.
